How do I find the right singing teacher?

We receive a wide variety of questions about music lessons every day. That is why we have started to compile a handbook. In it, we answer these questions as precisely as possible, together with experienced teachers. Over the next few weeks, we will be presenting topics from articles in the handbook here in the blog.

Singing is a very personal matter. Many people would like to sing, but don't have the confidence. In the article Learning to sing for beginners we have compiled many relevant questions for singing beginners.

You may not yet know exactly what you want to learn, what type of singing interests you or how you want to learn to sing. That's completely normal! Give us a call or send us an email. Think about what kind of music you like. Maybe you like jazz, blues, soul, pop, musical, classical, rock, metal, RnB, hip hop or Latin. Or which song particularly appeals to you? It's helpful to choose a teacher with whom you share the same taste in music.

You can filter by music style (rock, pop, jazz, classical, funk, Latin and much more), by level (beginner, advanced, master), by language and other criteria. This helps you to make a selection that is relevant to you as quickly as possible.

We recommend that you choose a teacher that you like straight away. If the general conditions (musical style, location, etc.) are right, you can devote yourself to the interviews. Singing teachers will tell you what is important to them when teaching, what they particularly value or how they structure a lesson. It is important that these characteristics match your expectations. Even if two teachers have the same training and teach the same genres, they will differ in how well they suit you. Singing lessons are very personal.
